Examples of Macular Degeneration (MD):

The likelihood that you will develop Macular Disease increases as you age.  Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) is the most common type of macular degeneration. As we age, our chances of developing MD increase up to 30%.  What follows are common examples of macular degeneration (MD) in their various stages and manifestations.

1.  Stage III, Advanced MD

2. Stage II MD

Vision with Macular Degeneration Dead center No distortion, yet Minimal color loss

4. Stage III, Intermediate to Advanced MD

Progression of Macular Degeneration
